Who’s faster, Cats or Dogs? Race through Heartlake City in these animal themed cars for fun!

While exploring ideas for my preschool-focused portfolio, I knew I had to include something with wheels, my kids, have always loved toy cars, LEGO or not. Thinking back to what they would have enjoyed a few years ago, I designed these animal-themed racers. It’s not a new concept, but I wanted to make it my own and move beyond the usual printed faceplate while challenging myself to express personality and animal features within a small, buildable space.

As a fun detail, I gave the cat and dog some appropriate treats. Knowing how my friends' free roaming cat likes to hunt, I briefly thought of giving it a bird, but ultimately decided a fish was the safer, more child-friendly option.

For now there is just the cat and dog as a concept, but I would like to return and make some other animal pairings (giraffe/elephant, tiger/lion, frog/turtle) and maybe even another line of dinosaurs.
